Bosnia and Herzegovina has seen a sharp decline in exports and imports this year

According to the statistics agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, published on September 21, exports from the country over the past eight months (from January to August) this year decreased by 14.1%, while imports fell by 17%. Import export coverage, according to the statistical agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was 60.9%, and the foreign trade deficit was approximately two billion dollars. Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to about half a million dollars, which is 15.3% less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to about 800 million dollars, which is 12.7% less. Export import coverage with CEFTA countries was 76.8%. Exports to EU countries amounted to approximately $2 billion and $200 million, which is 14.1% less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to approximately $3 billion and $100 million and decreased by 17.9%. Export coverage with EU countries was 73.7%.
