Abkhazia proposed to introduce restrictions on the border with Russia

In Abkhazia, a member of the operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, Alkhas Dzhinjolia, proposed introducing restrictive measures on the border with Russia. This was announced on August 2 by the press service of the Republican Ministry of Health. Ginjolia emphasized that restrictive measures are needed on the border along the Psou River today, the report said. According to the news agency, Russia opened the state border with Abkhazia on August 1. So far, entry into Abkhazia from Russia is allowed only to foreign diplomats accredited in the republic, military personnel of the United Russian Military Base and the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia, as well as drivers of vehicles engaged in international cargo transportation.
