Video conferencing service from Google will receive support for new features
The American company Google will add the possibility of blurring the background, support for subtitles and a number of other functions to the Meet video communication service. It is reported by The Verge. The new version of the Google Meet service will receive the function of blurring the background during video communication and replacing the background with any image. Also, the service from Google will receive the opportunity to conduct surveys among conference participants, expanded moderation capabilities and voice control support. The company confirmed the development of these functions, but did not name the exact timing of their implementation. It is noted that some of the new features are already available in corporate and educational versions of the service. Most of these features are already supported on competing video platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. It is expected that the expansion of the Meet service will allow Google to attract new users. As previously reported by the news agency, in April, Google opened free access to the Meet video conferencing service.
