Turkmen authorities are concerned about the impact of the pandemic on the country's economy


President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov discussed with Deputy Prime Ministers Purli Agamyradov and Gadyrgeldy Mushshikov steps to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the economy of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the press service of the head of state. Agamyradov reported to the President on the systematic improvement of the effectiveness of the Turkmen health system and on the results of preventive measures to prevent the penetration of coronavirus infection into the country. In turn, the Turkmen leader noted the difficult situation in the world, pointing out the need to take concrete steps aimed at protecting the health of the population and reducing the negative impact on the development of the economy, the head of state emphasized. Speaking about the importance of market relations based on innovations and advanced technologies, Berdimuhamedov emphasized that in these conditions new mechanisms and forms of economic activity appear. The head of state also focused on improving the organization of ministries and departments, instructing the official to continuously increase the efficiency and competitiveness of state-owned enterprises in Turkmenistan. the news agency recalls that the Turkmen authorities claim that not a single case of infection of citizens with coronavirus infection has yet been recorded in the country.
