NASA plans to buy space on the Union to deliver astronauts to ISS
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States continues to negotiate with the Russian state corporation Roscosmos to acquire an additional space on the Soyuz spacecraft to send another of its astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS). This is reported in the statement of NASA head Jim Bradenstein. NASA is in talks with state corporation Roscosmos to buy one additional seat on the Union to launch the coming fall, the statement said. Bradenstein stressed that this decision was made due to the need to ensure safe operation of ISS at the expense of the continuous presence of Americans on it. According to him, cooperation with Roscosmos will last until regular flights are launched on the ISS. We remind that earlier the head of the American aerospace agency NASA James Bradenstein said that the near-moon station Gateway is likely not to be used at the first landing of astronaut on the moon within the framework of the Artemis program.
