Russian citizens are advised to leave Thailand before the introduction of the emergency regime

The Russian Embassy in Thailand recommends that Russian citizens leave the country before a state of emergency is imposed on its territory due to coronavirus. The press service of diplomatic representation issued a statement on 24 March. We strongly recommend that Russian citizens staying in Thailand take advantage of the current regular air traffic to return to their homeland in the coming days, the message reads. We remind that earlier today the Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-Ocha in a television address announced the introduction of a state of emergency in the territory of the kingdom on March 26 due to the spread of coronavirus. According to the latest data, 827 cases of new coronavirus infection have been officially confirmed in Thailand, four of which resulted in death.
